Following the success of the first installment of CFM's Futur[e]cho series, a plan for a sequel was soon put into motion. The rules remain the same, produce a track of dub or deep techno for listeners to enjoy, and the artists this time around have not let us down. Along with Coppice Halifax and Anton Mayer... Soap, Textural Being, ISA and DeepWarmth make second appearances, but are joined in 2012 by the likes of Zzzzra, Ocralab, Martin Nonstatic, Kogyo, Seth B and AXS, making the second...

Pobedia returns to the label expanding on the sounds and atmospheres on his first release, Reflection. This time he takes the chill nature of Reflection and turns it into an even deeper sound. Subtle changes in a chill atmosphere of chords create for a deeper sound than on Reflection. The release is book-ended with 2 Ambient Dub tunes as Grey Cloud and highlight his style even further. Tracks like Whisper invoke an almost Ambient Techno vibe with a subtle pad in the background. If you are a fan...

Satoi joins the label with a 3 track Ep full of Deep Techno and a single ambient tune. His style of Deep Techno is quite different than what you'd expect, with vibrant melodies at times like on the track Hate Us. His atmospheres are very lush and static at times like in the first track Hinder. An artist to watch in the coming years is Satoi and with his first release, he really shows off what he can do.

After months of planning and hard work, Cold Fiction Music’s third V.A. compilation arrives. Futur[e]cho began as an idea after the unexpected positive response of the first entirely dub-oriented release on the label: the DeepWarmth/Textural Being Split EP. Originally the idea of collecting people to work on a deep, dubby techno compilation album seemed too big for the scope of the label, but over time not only was the idea refined, but now the eight-month-long project is at an end, and the...

From the ashes of Textural Being rises... aspect.By way of introduction, Portland, OR, producer Sage Taylor offers bp4, a floating dub techno track to demonstrate the new alias... Or, that's how it began, anyway. A few months, several emails and many remixes later, an album is born. Calling on multiple sources of talent spread across the far flung corners of the world, Sage has gathered an impressive list of remixers, including: Mandrasigma, Rabbit Rabbit, Zander One, Katsura, Substak, Fingers...

The 2014 edition of Futur[e]cho has arrived. 12 artists, 12 unique snapshots of today's Dubby and Ambient Techno scene. Kicking off the compilation this year with his signature wall-of-noise take on the genre is The Downgrade Complex, one of this year's new faces alongside Heisa, Oliver Dombi, SkiFi and Liquid Level. The journey is puncutated by a handful of seasoned F[E] veterans, and it all comes together to bring you one blissed-out deep journey. While this year's compilation doesn't have...

The next release in our main catalog brings us Wolf Asylum with a light airy IDM, and somewhat chillout release called Daze. If you like Archaic Horizon netlabel, then this will be right up your alley. Also brings memories of Melorman's music as well.

After two years of releases in the Futur[e]cho series, the series returns once again with its longest release yet. Getting somewhat away from the goal of the series, pairing lesser known artists with bigger names in the scene, last years release got away from that. This years release has a bunch of artists you've probably not heard of that need to be heard along with some bigger talent you've already heard of. This years release also instills more Ambient Techno than Dub Techno, but there is a...

Sage Taylor is back for another release on the label, this time bringing Space Ambient to you. Distant Constellation is a collection of Drones from his 404? days and features an unreleased tune as the title track of the album. Floating away into space is what you'll be feeling, but at the same time a sense of melody while very slow and some great ambiance to go along with it. If you're a fan of any of the previous Drone releases, you'll be sure to love this album from a true master.
DeepWarmth returns to the label for the second time with another release. This time around he's diving into the slower side of Dub Techno while still keeping his same style as heard on DW/TB: Split Ep. The Delayed snares are still around, but less present and the smoothness is more apparent in this release. Though he ends out the release with a slight change in style with Released Air. More Ambient Techno than anything, its slow build is not one to be missed. He's also joined by 2 label mates,...

DeepWarmth is back on the label releasing an album from his early days titled Sound of Night. This album has some of his first shots at making Ambient Techno and you can hear the sound evolve on tracks like Floating Night which starts off with a deep pad and a rhodes hit and ends up with a subtle kick going off into the distance as the song ends. For those who are into the smoother side of Techno Sound of Night melds Techno beats with The ambient sound that defines a lot of what DeepWarmth is.
Dj DeepWarmth shows up on the label with our first release of anything close to House music. You might know Dj DeepWarmth better as DeepWarmth and this is a way to show that House music has a place in his style of music. Two Minimal House tracks are featured, and then 3 artists take over remixing duties from the likes of D'Bug'D, Substak and Zwei Kreise.
Bound of Reflection returns to the label with more Ambient music to sooth the soul. This time around is quite different than his earlier release The Birds. Where as The Birds was a lot of synths melded to create Ambient music, this release is quite the opposite. There are a lot of pads as well as some synths with soft beats going underneath to provide the different style on the album. Overall with the change in style, you can still hear the signature sound of Bound of Reflection. So if you...

After self-releasing the album Inertia, we are proud to bring you the b-sides and outtakes album Inertia Sessions. Sage Taylor brings more of the IDM side from Pigments of Your Imaginations to the Front with his follow up to that album Inerita. Inertia Sessions takes songs that didn't make the main album and brings them in their own light on the album. Ranging from Leftfield to mellow IDM and byond this album showcases that the leftovers from Inertia are just as good, even if they aren't of the...
Eight months after the split EP with DeepWarmth, Textural Being makes a return trip to Cold Fiction Music with an EP of all new tracks. The tone here is similar to the tracks from the split, but more careful attention to detail and composition was spent on the tracks in this EP, resulting in something denser and darker that listeners can really get lost in. A small, four track bonus EP is included with the release, containing tracks by AXS, Zzzzra, Anton Mayer and Blamstrain, re-envisioned by...

Louigi Verona brings us the soundtrack to his maze game 15 Orbs of Votsor. This time around its a different sounding release than he's done with us in the past. He fuses his dronescape sound and atmosphere into Ambient Techno and at times dubby Ambient Techno and smooth IDM. There are a couple of straight up Ambient tracks, but most of it is Dronescape atmosphere with flowing basslines and Ambient Techno grooves. While the sound is different, this is a high quality release from Louigi.
Light Clouds has been in the works almost since the start of Cold Fiction Music in some form or another. We finally are able to bring 11 tracks of Ambient from 10 great artists. The styles are quite varied on the album including Drone, Space Ambient, Dark Ambient and Piano music. We hope there is something for all Ambient lovers.

Both artists are up and comers in the Dub Techno scene and we are proud to release their first split EP here on the label. The split EP was inspired by Dublicator, Grit, Coppice Halifax, Hieronymus and Thomas Fehlmann. Also if you liked Sage Taylor’s album on our label then you should also love this one.

SecondFace returns to the label with a 4 track release of Deep Ambient and Dub Ambient with minimal beatwork. It is quite a change in sound from his first release on the label, but is also a very good release. Emotional Changes and Visions highlight this stellar release with minimal beatwork over Deep Dubby sounds.
Our first release of 2013 is one sure to please the Dub Techno and Deep Techno crowd. Gblanco brings his own brand of Dubby Deep Techno to the label. Stiff drum sounds with delayed deep techno chords bring a style all his own. With tracks like Kinkley, he brings a dubby sound that melds with stiff drum sounds to create a deep sound like nothing else. The release ends with a Deep Ambient tune and then aspect. brings his own take on the track Yukonder to finish up the release. Smooth dubby sounds...

James Shain returns to the label, previously releasing as lilmanjs, with another album filled with spacey dronescapes to relax with. Three lush dronescapes are accented by 2 long minimal dronescapes that call a more minimal sense of floating through space highlighted by sparse and distant leads at times. For those a fan of Sunrise in Space and Fading Starlight, this album will be sure to please.
Pigments of your Imagination, Sage Taylor’s 2009 album, began as an afterthought for 2007′s ‘Manufacture your Brothers.’ Where that album was decidedly warm and mystical (in the furthest-reaching senses of the words), POYI was to take a more relaxed, cooler (but not colder) route. The result was two years of experimenting with new techniques that ultimately ended up in a dubbier, more ambient sound, as opposed to the warm, almost hip-hop approach that permeated MYB. After the dust...

SecondFace makes his mark on the label with his first release. An Ambient release that floats from start to finish. The album starts off with Nightfall (Down Remix) that just melds great melodies with a spacey mood and adds in drums towards the end. This track is the only one with drums though. The rest give you a feeling of going through space and landing on a planet just in time for Winter. If you have loved any of our past Ambient releases, this one is for you. An album you should not miss.
The first release in the Get to Know series, brings Sage Taylor to the limelight. What a better way to decide if an album is worth getting than to hear music that the artist has made in the past. That is what this series of releases is designed to do. Sage has been making music for many years and over the years has become a very good undiscovered talent till now. This release spans from his 2006 album Cascade up to the forthcoming release Pigments of Your Imagination. Included are songs from...

Chronos: The Battle For is a 10 track album that is designed to be a soundtrack sampler for a fictional RPG. The project was inspired by the game Pier Solar and The Great Architects. The album starts off with the quiet and moody piano track Lumi, and then goes into an acoustic guitar and strings track Explorers in The Forest. The album is a great Ambient album to relax to, and should remind you of the olden days of RPGs. A great album for lovers of Ambient and video games.

The style of Orkus is one that changes quite a bit, but always retains an ethereal sense about it with floating high pads, and driving beats. A chillout vibe can be gotten from most tracks on the release most notably with the track Relax and Airport brings in a sense of Jazz to the mix while overall this is a chilled out Techno and Deep House release sure to please all who listen.
Topics: Deep Techno, Deep House, Ambient Techno
Sunrise in Space is all about piano and how it can sound over a long period of time. Each of the songs on this album are very long but do a good job of keeping you interested. The album features only 3 songs, but each song is very long and drawn out. If you like your ambient slow and dreamy, and with piano, this is for you. Inspired by the radio program Hearts of Space this takes you on a journey like you’re floating through space.
Fading Starlight is the first album from lilmanjs, who is also the head of Cold Fiction Music. Made throughout 2009, the 5 songs on here are inspired by lots of the stuff on Hearts of Space and by ambient composer Jonn Serrie. Some of the songs on the album were experiments that turned into great songs, while others were thought out and made over many weeks. The album clocks in at 37 minutes and 52 seconds.
This release is the third conceptual album from Bound Of Reflection. The tracks have a light and atmospheric style, dedicated to the different seasons of nature and the time of day. The compositions are full of many deep pads, pleasant timbre, and have a relaxed atmosphere. This gives the album a general mood and integrity, without a loss of individuality and unique ideas of each individual track. The final track, The Glow, is a minimalist end to the work.

A long time coming this release is the first release that features songs from artists on the label and a few who are being introduced as artists on the label. Featuring everything from Downtempo to Psy-Trance and Ambient this release should suit everyone. Iced Over World introduces Riatsu, and the solo debut of Metylonia (one half of Psymachine). Iced Over World really shows off the talented artists on Cold Fiction Music while showing how different the music styles are.

We are happy to bring more Ambient musics to the label from artist Spuntic. Spuntic coming from Iran brings sweet bliss and ethereal sounds for the Ep. The album is a mostly floating slow journey but always moving. Tracks like Liquid and Celestial having moving pads to change up the pace of the album. Another great Ambient release on the label and an artist you'll be sure to follow for some time to come.

The 3rd entry in the Droning series centers around the theme of water. This time around though we have 2 songs instead of a single song that happened in the earlier releases. Louigi says the theme of water brought these 2 tracks together for this release and also says that whatever kind of water it makes you think of is all up to you. So relax with these 2 pieces of floating music centered around water.

Starting out as songs created by playing around with effects back in 2007, this album quickly became a full fledged album that was taken seriously by Agathan and completed in 2008. It features a wide range of styles, from minimal techno to ambient breaks to just plain ambient. Even though Subconsciousness, and Thoughts Thereof was finished in 2008 it never got a proper release on a label and we are happy to give it that proper release it deserves. Kasstedy makes his debut on CFM with a great Chillout/Downtempo release. A very unknown artist, this release will get you wanting more from him. his use of atmosphere and beats is almost perfect. throw in some soothing voice work as well and even a little bit of a MLK Jr. speech on the first track and you can see he's got the chillout music down very well. Kogyo brings us deep Ambient soundscapes that are sure to please anyone who likes Ambient music. Flowing synths and pads with strings in a few parts melds to create soothing music that any Ambient music lover can like. Songs like Dark Space and Cassini bring about a slightly darker side to the music but it all ends with a light, strings filed track named Ringsjon.
This project was started in 2008 and was finished early in 2009 while being headed by James Shain, the head of Cold Fiction Music. This album is full of songs that are inspired by the games of Nicklas ‘Nifflas’ Nygren. The 3 games of Nifflas’ that inspired these songs are Within a Deep Forest, Knytt and Knytt Stories. Nifflas sees his games as works of art and not just games and so are the songs that make up Crystal Greenlands. Nifflas is honored to have an album that is a collection of...
This release is our first double mp3 release. This means that if it was on CD it would fill up 2 CDs. This album comes from Louigi Verona and is minimal ambient music that guides you through space and through the peaceful parts of earth. Drones of Nature was made in 2008, but hasn’t found a home till this year and we are proud to release it.
Our 39th release on the label is an EP full of Dark Space Ambient from Hyperreality. Hints of light shine throughout the release, but you really feel the cold darkness of outer space with this release. How to listen to this properly? As the artist states, space ambient should be visualised to when you're alone, in the dark so try listening to this fantastic release of Dark Space Ambient when you're alone and about to fall asleep.

Our latest release on the label comes from new artist Sck. Bringing us a spacey deep techno release. The feel of the release is best summed up by Sck himself: I was always attracted to something cosmic, mysterious and unattainable in our world. I tried to convey my thoughts and feelings into music. I suggest to listen and to think about issues such as ... Are we alone in the universe? Who besides us? Welcome to the unknown .......Welcome to cosmo.......

Louigi Verona returns to the label with his second entry in the Droning series. A long floating piece of Ambient music, this is a tune to get lost in. A single tune that doesn't feel like it rushes to the end, nor does it feel like you're never wanting the tune to end. If you liked other releases from Louigi on the label, you'll be in love with this second entry in the Droning series.
A collection of DeepWarmth remixes that showcase the vast styles of his remixing skills with 6 of his remixes. Starting off with an Owen Ni remix of the DeepWarmth track Status, the release then kicks into gear a chill vibe with the bp4 remix melting into a remix of the Coppice Halifax track Leaf Cloak, giving it a view of the Night before diving under the water for a spaced out remix of Tides pt, 1 from Textural Being along with a rainy evening remix of Experience. We are proud to bring more ambient music to you. This is the first EP from Protofuse on the label and we couldn’t be happier to release it. Foxy Fruit Salad, debut album from Moxil & Taxil combines fractured industrial rhythms, live bass playing and ethereal pads with a glitch-hop sensibiility that’s firmly rooted in the experimental outings of artists like Odd Nosdam and Boards of Canada. This is our first release from Melomake, which is an EP called Pieces. It features ambient melodies that are accompanied by minimal beats. The tracks are 320 kbps mp3s, which provide a higher quality of sound.

his release is Louigi Verona’s second effort on Cold Fiction Music. It contains only 1 song, but it is great Dronescape music from Louigi that we’ve come to love. Chrome Rainbow returns to the label with his second release Hourglass. A more complex and more organic sounding release, he melds layers of synths with pianos over the top to provide music that sounds like his style from his first release Beside Yourself though in a more complex tone. This is a great album to chill to on a Sunday afternoon or what have you. If you prefer your electronic music to be slower and more chill, this is perfect.
Virabelo brings us some minimal techno that is very on the minimal side. The music is very light and has an airy feeling with some glitches thrown in from time to time. You won’t find very many, if any, bass lines in this EP, but the music more than makes up for the lack of these lines. These 8 tracks are sure to get stuck in your head and stay there for a long time to come. We are glad to have Virabelo release his kind of minimal techno with us and hope to see more from him in the future.
